FDA - Fiber food database links

This high fiber foods directory contains reports of selected food items and nutrients in the USDA's National Nutrient Database. These reports are sorted either by food description or in descending order by nutrient content in terms of common household measures. The food items and weights in these reports are adapted from those in 2002 revision of Home and Garden Bulletin No. 72, Nutritive Value of Foods.

These reports are in the form of PDF (portable document format) files. The Adobe ® Acrobat ® Reader software is required to read these files. (Adobe and Acrobat are trademarks of Adobe Systems Incorporated). The complete lists are available for you to download in two different forms: Alphabetical and by grams per common measurement. Don't forget to remember where you have saved the PDF file on your computer. It will take less then a minute to download on your slow dial up connection, and quick as a whiff of fresh Bran Muffins if you use broadband!

Have fun playing with substituting high fiber foods for your common, lowly unhealthful versions.
